Mr. Tope Popoola

‘Tope Popoola is the CEO of  HERITEK SUPPORT SERVICES Ltd, a Human Capital and Business Development Consultancy firm. He is a graduate of the University of Ife (Now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife).

He started his post-NYSC working career in 1984 as Administrative Officer with the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo. Between 1987 and 1991, he was the Executive Secretary of the NIGERIAN PUBLISHERS ASSOCIATION. He also briefly served (1991- 92) as the National Executive Commissioner for the Boy Scouts of Nigeria.

A seasoned administrator and Manager of men and resources, writer, inspirational speaker, pastor and entrepreneur, he is a man of many parts but only ONE passion – cultivating men and women of influence and affluence for whom godly excellence is a culture.

A Trainers’ Trainer, he is a Life Coach to many company executives. An alumnus of the MANDEV 1&2 Certification Programme of the Centre For Management Development, (Nigeria’s official accreditation agency for Management Trainers), he is a Nationally Accredited and Certified Management Trainer. In 1989, he participated in the prestigious Very Important Personalities (VIP) Programme sponsored by the government of the United States as one of thirty professionals selected from thirty countries.

He is an alumnus of the Building State Capability Program of Harvard University. He is also an alumnus of the University of Stellenbosch program on Futurism in Business. He trains people regularly on Leadership, Management, Team Dynamics, Marketing, Entrepreneurship and consults for several organizations on these issues. 

‘Tope Popoola is a widely travelled and highly sought-after conference speaker and has delivered several Keynote Speeches in and out of Nigeria. In 2006, he was the Keynote Speaker at the Cherokee County (Georgia, USA) celebration of the American National day of Prayer, the first African to have been given such honour. He has been instrumental to the training of leaders from over 40 countries across six continents. He serves on the International Faculty of Haggai International with campuses in Asia and Hawaii, USA, where he teaches on the subject of Leadership.

In February 2009, he was one of four prominent Nigerian dignitaries invited for the Annual Prayer Breakfast with the then newly elected President of  the USA, Barack Obama.

 In recognition of his leadership role in capacity building, he was recently honoured with the Honorary Citizenship of the State of Nebraska in the USA.

He writes a weekly column EMPOWERED FOR L.I.F.E (Leadership, Impact, Finances, Excellence) in The Tribune, a national newspaper in Nigeria. He has featured severally on national and local television.

Recipient of several awards and accomplished entrepreneur, he has a passion for developing the spirit of enterprise especially in young , budding entrepreneurs. He is the Host of  ENTERPRISE 101, a TV programme in Ekiti State and environs, where he teaches on principles of successful enterprise.  He is currently the President of the Ado City Chamber of Commerce and Industries Mining and Agriculture (ADOCCIMA)

He has also recently served as a Member of the Ekiti State Judicial Service Commission.

He is an author and has written and published several books. Among his  recent publications are, LIVING INTENTIONALLY (published 2009) FIRST THINGS FIRST – How To Live A Life of Priorities, THE LEADERPRENEUR, Leadership Is For The Dead,  Lead As You Go, The 60-second Motivator.  These have  been rated very highly as veritable resources for leaders and entrepreneurs.

A consummate family man, he is married with children.
